Planet Earth: Do you have the entire planet within your vision? If we all continue to learn more about the each country and their populations, time zone by time zone, business will follow. Here are five steps to help. The fifth step repeats:

Step 1: For your first day, dedicate twelve hours to learn a little about each of the 24 time zones. Spend about a half hour in each time zone.

Step 2: This day, spend at least four hours learning about your quadrants. You have four time quadrants, two six hours ahead or beyond the time zone in which you live and the other 12 hours ahead or behind your time zone. Today, spend about a half hour in each of these four time zones to begin learning the countries and capitals and businesses in each. See if you can identify companies within your industry. Begin to build your database. Use LinkedIn and send them invitations.

Step 3: Within which time zones do you have family and friends? Try to go back three generations and look at your family names (necessarily eight names - father, mother, two grandmothers, and four great-grandmothers). Begin building a database of email addresses for every family outside of time zone and outside your country. Spend as long as you need to build that list on LinkedIn.

Step 4: You now realize that there are some time zones with almost no population and there are others with huge populations. Know that with all the automatic online translators, you can attempt to communicate with anybody anywhere. This day, spend at least four hours in time zones 12, 11, and 5. Attempt to identify a business within your industry within each country. Again, use LinkedIn.

Step 5: You now have the entire planet within your hands.  Your goal is to spend at least one hour per day to attempt to identify a business within your industry within each country and every time zone of the world. Again, use LinkedIn.

Yes, You've Got The Entire Universe, Too

Now, let's move on out into the Solar System.  That's big, but hardly big enough. You'll then grasp the "Interstellar Neighborhood," a very small part of the Milky Way.

You've seen part of the Milky Way in the night sky when there was no moon, no smog, and cool skies. Once you are somewhat comfortable within our Milky Way, you move on to what is known as the "Local Galactic Group."  By this point you will have become comfortable moving into the "unknown knowns." The next step or group to discover is the Virgo Supercluster. Within it you will see how very small our little local galactic group is. The next group is known as the "Local Superclusters." There are many other Superclusters currently identified. We know now that our universe is vast, highly-populated, and just coming into focus. Beyond the Superclusters we come to Today, the boundary for Now, which is called, The Observable Universe. 

So, for now, keep your feet on the ground, focus on Planet Earth, and go out to find those special people within it with whom you can enjoy and celebrate this glorious thing called life.
