| Out of 6+ billion people on earth |
 |
|
|
| In search of 400K of the finest people:
Out of the 6+ billion people on earth, who shall lead us? We believe a good
place to look is among all the people who start a business, create something of
value out of their hearts, knowledge and insight, and though successful, they
are modest and generous. |
 |
| If good people come together with a goal to
identify most of 400± million small businesses throughout the world and
then lift up the very finest 1% to tell their story for television, then
finally, the metaphors and images that reflect who we are and our vision of
where we are going, will begin to change. In the USA there are 25±
million small and growing businesses (just based on tax returns). Surely each
community can identify 1% of their own. If there is a global list of over
400,000± (over 250,000 in the USA), why not sort it further and have at
least 40,000 under consideration for a local episode of the show, and no less
than 4000 people telling their story to the cameras each
year. |

values? |
 |
 |
 |
| Selection: Who are our best possible role
models? ... for our children and each other? Since 1994, to produce our weekly
show, we have used our own
selection criteria. It can be opened up (or
it could be a little more focused). Let the advocates for small business in
each community decide. They can lead us to very good people. There is an
abundance of ethical business people in our world. They're among our friends
and families, our neighbors -- literally throughout every community. Let's get
them talking about why they do what they do. Let us be encouraged, inspired and
informed. |
 |
| It is a very simple
formula, yet there is no reason why it should not work to help make our world a
better place. Thank you. -Bruce Camber |
