Broadcasts of Small Business School.

Open Letter: We need to support the Minnesota PBS-member stations and our other public television cable and broadcast systems.

Highlighted? Click on the city to go to the local Chamber of Commerce. Also, go to the local station's web site. Under "Air Time" the link goes to a listing of our small business shows airing this week (with hyperlink to the show's content) or go to the local sponsor's web page. All of these people support small business, and every organization deserves our support.

*Our Target Viewers in Minnesota: 250,000
  • Over 50,000+ small business owners in Minnesota. That is just a little over 10% of the total small business owners in Minnesota. The national average is one small business for every 12 people. It follows that there are as many as 400,000 small businesses in Minnesota based on a total population of just over five million people!
  • Over 50,000+ small business employees in Minnesota. Just one person from just over 10% of the total number of small businesses. If we get traction among the viewers, this number will grow the largest.
  • Over 100,000 general viewers who use small business services in Minnesota. About 2% of the total population. Virtually everybody everyday uses the services of small businesses.
  • 50,000 people who want or need to start the business of their dreams: the under-employed among our large business - corporate employees and the unemployed. The unemployed alone in Minnesota is over 250,000 people. All of them should be watching.
Advocates for viewers: 56+ local Chambers of Commerce, Small Business Development Centers, SCORE volunteers, Economic Development Commissions, SBA, business press, bankers, brokers, CPAs, and more.
