2006: A Working Document and Summary Report

  • Each local sponsor. There are eighteen possible ways to leverage the assets of this show to assure your return on investment in public television. This document discusses all of them. Once you become a sponsor of your station, these options can be immediately exercised.

We are establishing goals in each market and getting the buy-in from the local Chambers, Economic Development, Workforce Initiative, SBA, SBDC, SCORE, the business press, university business school professors, the local business coaches, CPAs, and other small business advocates to increase viewership and to engage viewers in a local collaboration event once each episode finishes airing. For more, click here.
  • Workshops/Training/Writing: Hattie and Bruce have developed and delivered training sessions for every one of our sponsors. These sessions can be:
    • To empower people to reach out to small businesses
    • To sensitize management to small business issues
    • To adopt content from each episode as a regular column for your business publications mailings, and web content. For more, click here.
  • More Promotion: We have worked with our sponsors to create both radio and television spots. These spots have aired in principal markets, even CBS-TV in the NYC (it even had a tune-in to the show!). For more, click here.

Thumbnails. The sponsorship includes thumbnail advertising for "click thrus" from relevant pages throughout the website. We are always open to our sponsors to determine where these thumbnails should be placed. For more, click here.

Webtrends: In any given month, about 100,000 unique visitors will have spent an average of 14:10 minutes looking at 2M pages (8M hits). For more, click here.
  • LearnOnline and CPE-for-CPAs as a Premium. We will provide each local sponsor with an unlimited number of scholarships to our Learn Online courses and classes. We will also develop specialized courses or classes. There are ten classes in a course.

We will provide an equal value in scholarship to CPE4CPAs (the amount paid to the station divided by $100 is the number of free premiums to CPE4CPA). Thereafter the CPE premiums are discounted. For more, click here.
  • Business Center / Learning Center. As part of this local sponsorship, Small Business School will develop a specially branded Learning Center for each local sponsor. These centers are an extra cost for the setup which is usually less than $1000.

These are the discussion points, a work in progress, that can be accessed at any time on our web site. It is only for our potential local sponsors.
