12. Raw footage, case study and other web materials Our local sponsors may, for editing-only charges, request a special version of any or all of the episodes aired within the period of their agreement with the local station. This special version could include more indepth case study of the business owner who is the star of that particular episode. Additional shooting and editing charges would usually range from $10K to $20K yet could be as low as $2K. The local sponsor also has access and limited rights to reuse the content on the web site.
 

13. CPE4CPAs.com. We will provide an equal value in scholarship to CPE4CPAs, i.e. the amount paid to the station divided by $100 is the number of free premiums to CPE4CPA. Thereafter the premiums are discounted to $20 per course. This sitewas first certified by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2002 and then by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) for the USA in 2003.

All Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are required to have 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits per year. The average cost in today's market is between $10 and $35 per credit hour. Small Business School works in conjunction with CPE4CPAs.com; the cost is $10 per credit hour. The courses qualify in the technical area of Management Advisory Services (MAS). Also, somewhat unique to this site is that the entire 40 hours, including testing, evaluation and certification, are entirely online and automated. There is no necessary human intervention required.

We are proposing that the each local sponsor offer these courses to their CPA customers as well as the companion course to their small business clients so they can collaborate and implement each key idea. That could transform a community.

14. Webcasts, showbots and new technologies. The web enterprise for the show has been embraced by Microsoft and we are anxious to deploy the most far-reaching technologies for dynamic content development and live events:

Webcasts. We have the technology and the studio to conduct live events on the web. Generally referred to as webcasts, these events can be highly produced, essentially a subset of one of Hattie's seminars. There are wide-ranging opportunities to work with our sponsors, both local and national, within these events. Currently, we are planing to schedule a weekly event on Sunday evenings after the last airing of the show for that day.

Additional webcasts could be done for Verizon's small business customers. Verizon experts and support people could be interviewed as guests on the webcast.

Because each "live' webcast is recorded, it becomes web content and can be accessed at anytime as streaming video. Though our focus has been to produce evergreen content, some of these webcasts may focus on current events.

Showbots. The same technology used for the webcasts can also be used to create remote studios to record and encode small business content as streaming video. We might find a way to incorporate these showbots "remote studios"so the webcasts onSunday can have our small business owners patched into the system from their locations.

Requiring at least a DSL line, these showbots could also be used by small business owners to add streaming video as content when they qualified to publish their answers to the Interactive Questions as an Overview, Transcript, and Case Study. These remote studios are easily set up.

Cabrillo Performance Management Software. Although we are installing this software so each state coordinator can create agendas, set goals and provide a learning framework for communications and performance evaluation, this same software will be made available for our sponsors and business partners to manage their own business partner programs.
