Nevada: Grace Thomson is a Latin American Economist with a Master of Business Administration Degree obtained in Ecuador, South America. She has graduate studies in Agricultural Economics at Iowa State University and in Germany through scholarships by the governments of United States and Germany, respectively.

Grace was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, South America and in 2003 moved to the United States. Grace is a Business Counselor with SCORE the not-for-profit organization sponsored by SBA, provider of business counseling to entrepreneurs who start their own business or have ongoing businesses in need of advice.

She is the first Hispanic volunteer of the Nevada Chapter and therefore special guest to a number of television and radio shows as a speaker for economic and business development in the Hispanic community. In 2005 she founded and runs a small business, Spanish Communication Services to provide consulting services in Hispanic culture and Spanish issues, to the Media and Hotel industries in Nevada.

As an Economic Development consultant, Grace has worked for a number of private, Non Governmental and Multilateral Organizations such as CARE, ACCION, FMO, OXFAM and Inter American Development Bank.

Her field of specialization is econometric models.

She worked for seven years for a large development bank in Ecuador formulating and designing quantitative models to forecast seasonal prices of agricultural goods in the rural areas of Ecuador.
She is currently an online and on-site Adjunct Instructor with three Universities, in the fields of Accounting, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics for Business, Macro and Micro Economics and Problem-Based Learning. She was Director of the first M.B.A. program at Universidad Catolica de Guayaquil and its first Coordinator of Graduate Studies.
Grace has been an Associate Professor in Microeconomics for more than 15 years in Ecuador. She also has been engaged with education activities aimed at the community through the local government in Ecuador; she was the strategic consultant for the Vice-governor of Guayaquil in 2003. In the 90's Grace was a frequent speaker in Seminars, Lectures and Conferences about Economic development in Latin America.
