Overview
This special
episode is also for every Chamber of Commerce — local, state and US —
to recruit new members and to help us all get focused on expanding our
businesses globally.
Good business
is one of the three foundations for a balanced and civil society.¹ And, it just may be the only
way to break through the strange world of fanaticism.
On this show,
you hear, "Business is not about greed."² Although there are plenty
of greedy people within business, the very first principle of business is that
you are only a business when you create something of value.³
Business is
also about transacting something of value. Chambers of Commerce
are the local torchbearers of good business for every community. They are the
foremost advocates for a better future for everyone.
As a group,
we can become major transformative agents of business, culture and our world.
As a group, we need to engage everyone to reward good behavior and turn our
backs to bad behavior.
The
Keepers of Values: The Chambers recognize and often reward those who do
good things within a community. They reinforce the good and they discuss,
analyze and attempt to change the bad.
Since 1994 we
have turned to the Chambers to validate, recommend and guide us with the
selection of businesses for each episode of the show. The people within the
Chambers know who are the givers and who are the takers. The Chambers know who
are the thinker/leaders and who tends to follow. Our
selection criteria is one click away always
on the top navigation bar.
SmallBusinessSchool seeks the most
outstanding small businesses among your membership to tell their story to the
nation, to lift them up to teach us all from the depths of their experience.
Though not professional actors, often these people tell stories that inspire us
and give us hope for the future.
With the
convergence of all technologies and the infrastrucutres for broadcasting,
information, communications, education and publishing (BICEP),
we are forging an even greater partnership with all Chambers of Commerce,
local-state-and-US.
Our
goal: Increase productions from 26 episodes per year to 4000 episodes per
year where there are at least 13 episodes per year created within your
Designated Market Area (DMA -- The country is divided up into 210
DMAs).
We want to
swamp the banality of commercial television - virtually put it out of business
- with good stories about good people doing good things within their
community.
Let's make
everyone a producer!
