| USA: The
SmallBusinessSchool (SBS) campaign to identify 400,000 small business
owners to each donate $1000 to their local public television station is making
progress. Currently the total budget for Corporation for Public Broadcasting
(CPB) is just over $400M for the entire Public Broadcasting System (PBS) which
includes about 178 member stations. Small business owners are being actively
encouraged to get involved to protect the future of public television because
it is one of the very few places within television focused on continuing
education and the public good. |

In several open letters², the producers say that most
television encourages the weak in spirit, confuses the marginal, and weakens
the strong. As the #1 export of the USA, most television does not portray the
heart and character of the country! So driven by the bottom line, much of
commercial television is very dark. When told by small business owners that PBS
is anti-business, SBS tells them, "Get over it. Join the station, and teach
them about small business integrity, and help them chart a future. Most will
welcome the help."
 To get small
business owners to join their station at the Producer Club level,

4,000,000 Small
Business owners Since our
start (1994), SmallBusinessSchool's focus is on good people who start a
business, create good work, and try to make the world a better place. Millions
have watched the show and we invite every good small business owner to be
listed and linked from this site (we know there are no less than 4 million
wonderful small business owners). |

400,000 Small
Business Producers Of
those four million business owners who have joined their local public
television station, we believe 10% of them will become members of their
local station's Producers' Club. And, they'll become producers! |

40,000 Small
Businesses To select a
business for an episode we ask for recommendations of good people who are
generous within the community. Over 200 are recommended for every person
selected to be be the Master Class teacher for an episode of the show.
SmallBusinessSchool now has long lists of wonderful, ethical, people and
their businesses throughout the USA and beyond.
Every one of these
people would make a great story about the "can-do" spirit and the pursuit of
the "American Dream."
To that end, we are working to do more local
productions by local producers so as many as half of the episodes of the show
in your area are about people in your state (or country). The best of those
episodes will go on to the national and global feeds of the show. All of these
businesses become part of a special Small Business Index for Growing
Companies. |
