Real stories about small business:
We are media content producers on a mission

Texas: Heliodoro ValadezSince 1994 and now well over 300 small businesses later, we are rolling more tape than ever about small business owners. This repository of case studies -- all here on the web -- is to inform and inspire. In doing these shows, we have met ordinary people doing extraordinary things. In a half-hour of television we focus on a person who is quietly changing the world. You meet Heliodoro Valadez, Best Buy Tortillas of El Paso. You meet every type of American -- Hispanic men and women, African Americans, Japanese Americans, Chinese Americans ...

Everybody is doing it. The young. The old. Men. Women. The small. The big. And, people of every color. Yet, as different as we are, there is one characteristic everybody has in common. Courage.

And, the mission and goal of Small Business School is to lift these people up as heroes because they are. They are making our world a better place.

Our goal for this presentation . . .

We thank public television and our sponsors for giving us this opportunity to shine the spotlight on a critically important, very large, largely-unrecognized and undervalued, segment of our population. Small business holds the heart of social capital in the USA.
