Executive Summary - Overview - Profile
A dynamic overview of a business
.

Why you can build a page with hyperlinks to your web site within Small Business School: You have seen the profile pages for each business that we study. That page is the executive summary and overview of that episode of the show and it has links to the transcript, case study guide, streaming video (if available) and other references pages as needed.

We invite all small business owners who are members of their public television station or Chamber of Commerce to build a profile page on this site. It simply requires answering a few questions -- the same questions that were asked of the business owners within each episode.

Wonderful things begin to happen. First, we know you are there. Second, there are more business members of public television (very important) and there are more people in their Chambers of Commerce saying, "Watch the show." There are many links throughout the web site to our open letter about public television and the importance of this kind of television.

Yes, we know the politics of public television lean left of center, but that will change as the many good people within public television realize that good business is always about creating value.

We, however, pre-qualify any business that is listed simply because they must be a member in goodstanding with their local PBS-member station, their Chamber of Commerce or their national trade association. We are in search of the good people to reinforce, lift up, and celebrate.

We want to drive traffic to your site. We want you to be very successful. We are very encouraged when small business owners set the example and are the one's who give the most back to their local communities.

You can do the same for your business. Once you have done so, and you have published the information here, you automatically are listed for consideration within an episode of Small Business School.

The profile page is an introduction and overview of the business. For those who register on the site, it is the first page you can develop by answering questions within the interactive study guides.

The profiles currently online include links to all the other pages about the businesss. There are usually links and references to the industry publications and associations. And, of course, there is contact information for the business itself.

This is the foundation of the Small Business Index of Learning Companies.

Again, if you complete a few classes at SmallBusinessSchool.org, you will find that with every answer can selectively used as a part of your own profile page, study guide, and transcript. Then, you open the options to display those pages back under your state, your type of business , your business name, and your name.

Later you can opt to generate a business plan, use it to raise debt capital, or even generate a SCOR document to raise equity capital.

Thanks.
