The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: Forever an archetype, that film (with Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach, and the gang) personifies our culture. The Bad and the Ugly have gotten respect. Ethics and integrity get lip service -- hardly seen as an asset. If we judge from most of the daily news shows and the most-watched television and cinematic productions, the very pillars of democracy and capitalism are being seriously undermined by much of the media every day.
