Recapture the spirit of the Wild West
Overview Transcript Case Study Video
In this episode of the show, we go into the rugged mountain country of Provo Canyon, just south of Salt Lake City, to learn about branding.
"...give me land, lots of land, under starry skies..."

Provo Canyon and Salt Lake City, Utah: Image is important. Having substance to back it up is even more important. In this episode of the show we discover the very substantive work of people who built a direct marketing business around a well-known brand. Yet, because this brand is human and can make political comments that provoke people, one can readily understand the complexity of branding and some of the inherent risks.

There is nothing easy about business. It is always an outward and visible sign of who we are, what our priorities are, and just how creative we can be.

Small Business Index: Bruce Camber, the executive producer of SmallBusinessSchool, announced their goals for the research arm of this television production. He said, "To select a business to study, we aggregate local information about the best small businesses in the USA within a Small Business Index. It is a natural extension of our weekly series for public television." He then commented, "Public television is important. There is no other place within television where their sole mission is to champion the best of the best. Most of the media takes the path of least resistance; it is much easier to report on the bad than to find the truly good. That's real work."
There are several statements within the web site -- mission and vision statements and open letters to smal business owners -- that explain more.
